The Nursing Learning Center (NLC) is a welcoming place for BYU nursing students to learn the art and science of nursing. It is home to a branch of the Harold B. Lee Library with nursing resources, a study area for nursing students only, computers with access to nursing instructional programs and labs where students are taught skills and participate in patient care simulations. Fall/Winter Hours:

Monday   7:30am - 6:30pm
Tuesday   7:30am  - 9:00pm
Wednesday   7:30am - 9:00pm
Thursday   7:30am 9:00pm
Friday   7:30am - 6:30pm
Saturday   9:00am -  2:00pm 





The NLC closes for all University Devotionals and Forums on Tuesday from 10:45 - 11:50am.

Scheduled Practice Lab Hours- Held in 154 SWKT, Staffed by an RN, Must sign up to attend:

Tuesdays   4:00pm - 7:00pm Must sign up by noon Tuesday
Saturdays   9:00am - 1:00pm Must sign up by 6pm Friday

Sign up for Scheduled Practice Labs



  • Click on the 'View' icon next to the date that you wish to sign up for
  • Under 'Name', click on Sign Up
  • Select your topic and click 'Save' 


If you fail to attend your scheduled time an email will be sent to your instructors. A “no-show” is considered unprofessional and may result in lowering of your grade.

  • To cancel before deadline: go to the sign-up webpage (specific date and time), click your name, click "Delete"

  • To cancel after deadline: in case of legitimate reason (such as illness), please call NLC Circulation Clerk (801) 422-3954 as soon as possible (may leave voicemail)

If you would like to attend lab and online sign-ups have closed, call the Circulation Clerk (801-422-3954) to see if there are available spaces. 

OSHA Requirement

To complete the yearly OSHA requirement:
  • View all 4 parts of the video (35 minutes)
  • Take the online quiz
  • Complete the OSHA form for the advisement center.
