You might ask, 'How can I show gratitude for I received at BYU? What can I give so others might enjoy the blessings I have?' Would you be willing to give the College of Nursing 16 hours of your time each year? A financial donation could be a surrogate for your time. . . . Through the efforts of each alumnus, great things could happen. -Roger Buxton

With the recent appointment of JoAnne Edwards as Alumni Board Chair, along with several new board members, BYU College of Nursing and alumni may well anticipate an exciting new year ahead!

Be sure to mark BYU Homecoming on your calendar (September 25-29, 2007). Planning is underway for an outstanding event sponsored by the College of Nursing, the details of which will be available soon.

Please don't hesitate to share news of your accomplishments and activities (or those of fellow alumni) by clicking on Contact Us (upper left of home page) then selecting Development/PR Department.

The BYU college of Nursing alumni Board continues to provide support for College programs. Recently they co-sponsored the Mary Ellen Edmunds Nursing Endowment for the Healer's Art Dinner. The evening allowed various alumni to renew acquaintances while celebrating an evening focused on the unique mission of the College of Nursing, that of “Learning the Healer's Art.”

We frequently hear of the wonderful things you as BYU alumni are doing in your work and in your lives. We continue to be impressed by your interest in knowing what is happening in the College and how you can help.

As alumni we desire you be an integral part of all we are doing. A strong and united community of nursing alumni provides an important contribution to the learning experiences of our current students. Our students' lives can truly be blessed and enriched by your services as clinical mentors and lectures, and as role models of lives well lived, both personally and professionally. Truly you have much to offer. As Interim Dean, I am honored to be partners with you as we continue to move the College forward with vision and excellence founded on a marvelous legacy.
