The College of Nursing was privileged to hear from Ann Eves as their Homecoming Honored Alumni lecturer. Eves, a 1988 graduate, is currently the Chief Nursing Officer at Intermountain Healthcare, Urban South Region. She was given the 2009 Honored Alumni Award for her outstanding service to her community.
A long-awaited College of Nursing Professorship, sponsored by the Mary Ellen Edmunds Nursing Endowment for the Healer’s Art, was recently announced by Dean Beth V. Cole.
Lynn C. Callister, RN, PhD, FAAN is the first recipient of the Professorship, which honors faculty for excellence in scholarship and student mentoring.
Nursing students captured the Dean’s Award for the best college float at the Homecoming Parade on October 24. The theme for the float was, “Climbing to the Top, Giving our Best Shot.”
For the second year, the College of Nursing Alumni Board organized a Homecoming service project for the participation of alumni and students during BYU Homecoming week.
As one of the newest College of Nursing faculty, Leslie Miles is thrilled at the chance to educate people about nursing, specifically psychiatric nursing.
“I love working with people who are disadvantaged and having them find some meaning in their life,” she said.
