The Student Nurses Association is the recipient of the Marilyn Bagwell Leadership Development Grant administered by the Foundation of the National Student Nurses Association. The grant of $1,000 is for the purpose of enhancing the BYU SNA chapter.

Thirty-two undergraduate BYU College of Nursing students and three graduate students were inducted recently in to the Iota Iota chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. The ceremony, held at the Gordon B. Hinckley Alumni and Visitors Center, honored inductees from BYU, Westminster College and members of the communities.

Everything had to work out perfectly for Trista Jones (pictured far right) to fulfill all her obligations in her last semester in the BYU College of Nursing program. Luckily, it did. As a little girl, Trista saw her sister, who at the time was a nursing student, participate in BYU’s Living Legends, a cultural dance group that shares the story of the Book of Mormon on stage, and immediately wanted to be a part of the group one day and share her own Native American culture through dance.
