Over 450 guests gathered April 4, 2007 to celebrate The Mary Ellen Edmunds Nursing Endowment for the Healer’s Art and to pay homage to the Mission of BYU College of Nursing. In unprecedented support for the Endowment, an anonymous donor pledged $50,000 in matching funds, and Ira A. and Mary Lou Fulton pledged an additional $100,000 match.

Walter and Janice Montgomery have generously given a scholarship to the College of Nursing. The purpose of the scholarship is to assist nursing students at BYU to continue their final two years of study. The scholarship was provided as a tribute to Elaine Lois Hutchinson Stivers (1926-2005) and her youngest sister Janice Hutchinson Montgomery.
