SNA Scholarship

SNA Scholarship Information:

Every winter semester, the BYU Student Nurses Association rewards exemplary SNA members for their involvement in SNA activities and professional development. Applications will open March 1st and will close March 31st. Scholarship amounts will range from $200 to $500 depending on the number of applicants and money available as determined by the SNA treasurer.

To apply you must:

  1. Be a member of BYU SNA.
  2. Must not be a member of the BYU SNA board. (This rule applies to you if you have been on the SNA board from Fall-Winter of the current school year, however if you were JUST elected in February, the month before the scholarship opened, you are still allowed to apply!)
  3. Report number of SNA activities attended in the school year.
  4. Write a 1-page essay elaborating on your involvement in any professional nursing development, involvement in the community, and why you feel you should receive an SNA scholarship.

On March 1st, the link to the application will be posted. Winners are chosen based on a point system. Points are awarded for: Attendance to BYU SNA Activities of the current school year, professional nursing development, and the 1-page written essay.

The National Student Nurses Association also offers scholarships. Visit here to learn more about the scholarships they offer and how to apply.
