This course offers the opportunity for students to gain a greater insight and appreciation for our Vteran and rural populations and their availability to health care; research Veterans on a personal basis; and discover how to best care for these diverse populations.

“I used to think that I knew everything that I needed to know about the Veteran population after growing up as a military brat and having a lot of relatives serving in the military. At first I didn’t even want to study Veteran nursing. However, I was completely wrong. I learned so much more than I could have imagined and there is probably still so much more to learn. After studying this unique population, I now have a deep respect for Veterans and a greater love for our country.”
