Art of Nursing Scholarship

Theme: Brighter and Brighter: Rays of Light in the Healer’s Art

Inspired by Elder Alexander Dushku’s talk Pillars and Rays, BYU’s 150th anniversary theme, “That light groweth brighter and brighter … that all may be edified of all” and this year’s College of Nursing theme, “Ray by Ray: Becoming Beacons of Christ-like Care,” the Art of Nursing Scholarship invites you to reflect on how Christ strengthens you in your nursing journey.

Christ’s light often comes not in a single burst, but ray by ray, through moments of clarity under stress, learning that deepens understanding, and experiences that build resilience and courage.

How has truth or revelation guided you?

How have you seen light grow brighter in hard places?

We invite you to submit a creative work; art, writing, music, photography, or other media that captures how Christ’s light has helped you become a beacon of Christlike care.
