Biography

My nursing background is varied and includes mental health nursing, long-term care nursing, public health nursing, employee health nursing, and diabetes nurse educator. My passion is teaching students, patients, and caregivers about diabetes management! I have been in nursing education for over ten years and recently joined BYU College of Nursing. I hold a master's degree in nursing education and another in nursing administration. I am so excited to be here and to work with dedicated nursing students and educators.

Teaching Interests

My teaching interests are varied and include diabetes education and management, chronic disease management, pharmacology, gerontology, fundamentals of nursing, and ethics in nursing practice.
As a nurse educator, I am committed to advancing the nursing discipline and fostering a culture of evidence-based practice (EBP). My role centers on preparing future nurses to deliver safe, high-quality care by equipping them with the knowledge , critical thinking skills, and professional values essential for clinical excellence.
