Biography
I graduated with my BS in nursing from BYU in 2007. I then worked in the cardiothoracic ICU at the renowned Cleveland Clinic. In fall 2009, I moved to Charlottesville, VA to attend the University of Virginia for nurse practitioner and PhD schooling. I graduated with my MSN as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2011, post-master's Adult-Gero Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in 2013, and finally my PhD in 2014. I joined the BYU College of Nursing faculty in fall of 2014. I work approximately 1 day per week as a Nurse Practitioner in a family practice clinic.
Research Interests
My research focus is on sedentary behavior, physical activity, and healthy lifestyles across the lifespan.Teaching Interests
My main teaching interests are in research, pathophysiology, and family practice/medicine.Education
