Biography
Ryan Rasmussen is currently an Associate Teaching Professor in the College of Nursing. He started his career in nursing as a registered nurse in the Emergency Department and worked there for over 11 years. Ryan received his MSN from Brigham Young in 2011 and has worked as a nurse practitioner in pediatrics and hospice since graduating. He earned a Ph.D. in nursing at the University of Arizona in 2019, where his passion for emergency nursing is shaping his research; he is currently researching how to improve communication in the trauma room to provide better patient outcomes. He is currently the Coordinator of Population and Global Health for the College and helps with the coordination of many international, national and local population and global health programs for nursing students every year.
