Walking Together for Belonging: Juneteenth Gathering

Monday, June 15
10:00 AM
Brigham Square

Inspired by the legacy of Opal Lee, who’s annual 2.5-mile walk helped establish Juneteenth as a national holiday, this event will invite members of the campus community to gather in reflection, unity, learning, and celebration as we honor the significance of Juneteenth and the enduring themes of freedom, hope, resilience, and community.

The experience will include a community walk, moments of reflection and connection, and opportunities to learn more about the history and meaning of Juneteenth in ways that encourage belonging and understanding across campus.
